Landa Park offers picnic facilities under the shade of giant, ancient oak trees. Walk or jog on the parks special trails, or ride a miniature train that chugs around the 196-acre park. An excursion on a paddle boat is one of the best ways to see the Comal Springs and Landa Lake. Why not take in a round of miniature golf, relax at the playground or enjoy the flora and fauna on the Panther Canyon Nature Trail? Don't forget to enjoy the walking arboretum tour with over 70 species of trees!
Individual picnic tables are available on a first come, first served basis. Park Rangers will come by the table to collect the $10 per table picnic fee, in season. With proof of residency, citizens living inside the
corporate city limits will have no charge for their first table.

The City Tube Chute is located on the Comal River, offering exciting family water fun, picnic areas, showers, dressing rooms, lockers, tube rentals and lifejackets.

Dry Comal Creek Nature Trail

Get away from it all at our newest addition to the Parks and Recreation trails.
The Dry Comal Trails is open to hike and bike traffic only. This is the first mountain bike trail in the park system. We already have a 2.25-mile loop that is ready for the public to
enjoy on foot or bike. The Dry Comal Trails provide a wide variety of experiences by giving you access to numerous types of habitats. You can start by entering a river-bottom habitat, which has unique wildlife of its own. Next you can stroll through a densely wooded area sighting white-tailed deer and other wildlife at every bend in the trail. Finally, you may climb a rocky hill leading to a cedar-grassland type habitat with prickly pear and mesquite trees. Come see what trails have to offer.

A beautiful, tree-shaded place to enjoy the Comal River! Perfect for scuba, snorkeling, swimming, tubing and fishing! Facilities include a playground, restrooms, picnic tables and easy river access.

Spend a wonderful time studying all the trail markers along the 51 acre Panther Canyon Natural Trail in Landa Park. This protected wilderness is an excellent example of one of the faults in the Edwards Limestone. The gently slopping pedestrian trail leads visitors approximately eight-tenths of a mile through the Balcones encarpment.
Hikers should allow at least 1.5 hours for the 1.6 mile round trip hike.
